Big kingfish up to 50 lbs are here for the next 2 weeks. Some sailfish and dolphin still around. Hard south east wind for the rest of the week will make for a bumpy ocean but fishable. Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters Photo Gallery Click on image to expand.

The big kings have showed up and the weather looks good for the whole week. There are still some sailfish and dolphin around. Limited days left open the rest of the month.
Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters Lots of wind and rough seas but sailfish are chewing. If you can make it out double digit days are very possible. Looks like another week of wind blowing 15-20.
Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters The unmistakable silhouette of a magnificent frigate differs from the gannet and so too, this fishing excursion was like no other. I'm moving sloth-like this Saturday morning after an eight hour split charter in three-to-five Atlantic seas on Friday.
Its January in South Florida and the cool winds wail from the Great White North. Churning seas with a bounty of sails, pelagic reptiles hunting drifting man-o-war, bastard sharks; seabirds, sky-rocketing mackerel royalty, baitfish and dolphins. We witnessed all on this trip. Ryan, a Minnesota native and I chugged North from the Palm Beach Inlet to the waters off Jupiter with Captain Alex Burgess on his 29' center console built by Sea Vee. The twin Mercury outboards pushed us through the slop to the fishing grounds. On arrival, our brassy young captain set the kites as Ryan and I bantered about life. Although we didn't solve any pressing world issues I enjoyed his company. I captured 2,000 images on three different cameras which is normal, but I also free-spooled and hooked a sail and gladiator-gaffed two hefty kingfish which is not. Captain Chris Lemieux has taught this elder well over the previous ten years of fishing on the Conch Cruiser. "The gaff is a rake not a shovel." A quote from a friend of mine they call Jake -- it is forever engrained in my brain. We finished an extremely cool, bumpy day with a tally of four-for-five on sails all hooked and released, five-for-nine on kingfish -- the largest, perhaps 40-pounds, was taken by a giant bull shark as the sun vanished in the western sky. January 19, 2018 Fishing has been a little slower this week. Sailfishing has slowed to 1-4 bites a trip. The kingfish have shown back up with some smokers coming in if you can get them past the sharks. I will be fishing the buc cup this weekend on Southern Run in some heavy winds. Keep a eye out on the live scoring.
Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters Had a awesome weekend winning the 81st Annual Silver Sailfish Derby going 17 for 20 on sailfish in 2 days on "Southern Run". The sailfish have been biting great everyday after this big cold front. Big kingfish will show back up when it calms down towards the end of the week.
Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters The sailfishing continues to be very good. With another front coming this weekend it should stay good. The mahi are starting to show up. Weather looks good all week.
Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters With a massive cold front coming though this week the sailfishing is going to get as good as gets. This front should also bring in the mahi also. After the front the kingfish should fire back up.
Let's book your trip soon! Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Offshore Fishing Charters Big kingfish and sailfish have been the main catch this week. Couple dolphin making a showing and should be more moving in with the north east winds this week.
-Capt. Alex Burgess Palm Beach Fishing Charters 561-309-7022 Sailfishing continues to be good. Multiple shots everyday. Also catching dolphin and kingfish. Flat calm with not much wind for this week. Good time to fish.
